We moved to Madagascar in January 2011. A mix of compassion, faith, sense of calling, love of adventure and a healthy dose of craziness lead us here. Madagascar is an island off the south-east coast of Africa. It is one of the poorest nations in the world. Inadequate healthcare, limited education, deforestation and the fearful grip of animism has caused much suffering in this land.

Our hope is to come alongside the strengths and needs of the Malagasy people. In a sense to come beside the baobab, a unique tree of Madagascar that represents both the strength and beauty of the Malagasy people. Whether through mobile medical clinics, teaching village heath aides, seeing patients at the local hospital or walking alongside the weary and heavy-hearted we desire to demonstrate the love of Christ and see lives transformed: body, mind, soul and community.
